​Stevensford is a 3500 ha private nature conservancy situated on the Limpopo River in Botswana’s Tuli Block. The Reserve is home to many species, including giraffe, zebra, eland, waterbuck, kudu, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, bushbuck, red hartebeest, impala, steenbok, duiker, aardwolf, aardvark, brown hyena, warthog, crocodile and hippopotamus. For keen birders, birdlife is abundant and varied, the famous Pel’s Fishing Owl and the secretive African Finfoot can both be found on the Reserve. Stevensford Game Reserve is the perfect place for couples and families to enjoy close encounters with wildlife and reconnect with nature. Guests are permitted to use their own vehicles for game drives, in the eastern section, and guided game drives are also available. The Reserve permits self-drive game drives at night, and can supply spotlights. The big attraction of Stevensford Game Reserve is that visitors can safely walk around on their own looking for birds and wildlife. If you prefer the Reserve can also provide guests with a guide to accompany a walk; the guides are knowledgeable and can impart interesting information with regard to animals, animal tracks, trees, birds, and insects. There are four hides at waterholes on the Reserve, offering wonderful game and bird viewing opportunities.  At Stevensford Game Reserve guests will love the bush ambience, sunsets over the Limpopo River and fabulous stars. 

Stevensford Cottage

Located within the Stevensford Reserve are the Stevensford Cottages, all set within small private camps. All bedrooms have en-suite showers and premium quality beds with fine white cotton bedlinen and towels, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. These charming cottages each have a private boma, with fully equipped kitchen based outside under the thatch. You will feel like you are on a real African adventure when you are staying here, cooking outside under the stars. In the central area, a fire is lit every night, creating a perfect spot to socialise with other guests and star gaze. For guests not wanting to cook, the lodge staff will prepare you excellent meals on request.
