Most European passport holders are allowed a stay of up to 90 days in South Africa. This tourist visa is stamped in your passport upon arrival at the airport, it does not need to be obtained prior to departure.
Information about which countries get a visa upon arrival, and which countries need to apply for one, can be found on http://www.home-affairs.gov.za/index.php/countries-exempt-from-sa-visas . Please note that, upon arrival in South Africa, your passport must be valid for at least six months and must have two consecutive blank pages. If you are travelling to/through Swaziland, your visa obtained at the border is free of charge. Travelling to/through Mozambique, however, will cost you 900 Rand for the visa. Note this price changes frequently but is unlikely to exceed 900 Rand. The cost of a Mozambican visa is not included in your booking fee with Tailor Made Safaris and will be an additional cost, should your trip include this destination. |
