Mokala Game Reserve was founded in 2007 and is one of the newest reserves in South Africa. Visitors to the reserve will enjoy numerous up-close sightings of game species including many endangered species including the roan antelope, hartebeest and the black rhino. Besides all this, the park offers great bird watching; the list of species is already at 139 and counting. Enjoy an early morning or an afternoon game drive to provide an interesting insight into the reserve wildlife and enjoy the beautiful scenery with mountains and true African savannah. Adventure seekers can enjoy rafting on the river and a San Rock Art visit cannot be missed. Mokala means Camel Thorn tree in Setswana, which is common here at Mokala Game Reserve.
