Lake Kariba is world’s largest man-made lake, it is 290 km long and up to 40 km wide. The Zambian and Zimbabwean borders traverse the lake. Lake Kariba offers beautiful views, magical sunsets and a multitude of water activities. The weather is good throughout the year, allowing visitors to enjoy this destination year round. The lake has an exciting array of wildlife, including tiger fish, which attract a lot of game fishing enthusiasts, hippos, crocodiles, fish eagles and even the occassional herd of elephants. By far the best way to explore the lake is by boat, either for the day or on one of the many houseboats available for hire.
