Kuleni Game Park, previously known as Weavers Nature Park, is a 170 hectare private reserve located in the heart of southern Maputaland. Within 1 hour of Kuleni, you can be anywhere you want – on the beautiful beaches of Sodwana Bay or the famous Big 5 game reserve Hluhluwe-iMfolozi. Even the UNESCO World Heritage site, iSimangaliso Wetland Park, is within a ten minute drive of Kuleni Game Park. The park is home to warthdog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and many more antelope species. There are no predators in the area, making it an excellent and safe environment for walks. In addition, there are 250 different bird species to find in the park, which makes it a perfect destination for bird lovers.
Umkhumbi Lodge
Surrounded by different game reserves with varied ecosystems of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, you will find 3-star Umkhumbi Lodge. In a short period of time, this lodge has become very popular among bird lovers due to the regular observations of ‘Twinspots’.
