The De Hoop Nature Reserve is a 34 000 hectare coastal reserve located on the Cape’s Southern Coast near Cape Infanta. The landscape of the park comprises of rocky mountains, sand dunes, limestone hills, luscious wetlands and scenic beaches. The De Hoop Nature Reserve is home to many mammals such as southern right whales, dolphins, ostrich, cape mountain zebra, chacma baboon, eland, mountain reedbuck and the iconic springbok. The park is one of the best locations in Southern Africa for spotting whales and dolphins from the shoreline. Adventurous activities include self-drive safaris, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and snorkelling. For those preferring some rest and relaxation the beach is perfect.
