The San people also known as the Bushmen originally inhabited the Cathedral Peak region. Their cave drawings can still be seen today and are documented as some of the earliest cave drawings found.
Didima Camp is situated in the Cathedral Peak valley at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains. Its 3-star self-catering chalets have been modelled after the homes of the indigenous San people. These nomads inhabited the hills for thousands of years before being forced off their lands. Today Didima Camp stands as a reminder of their culture.
